The advice is you’re ready to go back to back run days at about a year into your running. Running daily is about recovery as much as it is running. Recovery runs aid blood flow to your running muscles and help them heal. Recovery runs are done at a slow pace, and you may only have one pace at this stage. The time required before doing this is to allow you to up your pace so you have slower gears, and to have those running legs as strong as possible. For now, my recovery run is walking, and I do this daily.

Your rest day is sancrosanct so always observe it You can do other exercise though It’s the day your running legs get built and is as important as run day

It takes 18 to 24 months to build a pair of running legs Once built you can run when You like but that’s a ways off yet 🙂
