So it's good news and bad news said the physio.

Despite the pain, there's nothing too serious with my knee and I can keep running!! Oh the joy!

However I have to do killer exercises everyday.

Everyday? I whined? Everyday, he insisted.

And, no 10k training for me yet. I have to drop down to a measerly 3.5 for a week - he said a week to ten days, I heard a week😉

I'll be away at a music festival this weekend so can only get one run in this week anyway but hoping I can squeeze a little biddy parkrun in the following Saturday.

Yep, I'm officially addicted! 😁😁🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

They know you’ll to the lower part of the recommendation... the “to 10” bit is so you don’t go 5 or 6 days! That’s my experience anyway, my doctor and my physio both know that I’ll be doing things as early as I think I can!

Hope you survive the low running week. I keep being told that the exercises I was given at 16 are supposed to be daily for life... but screw that, some of them aren’t nice lol

Haha, yes I expect they know we'll bend the rules a little! I'll do my exercises like advised though.

Be careful. One of my physios did a bit of jiggling, said everything's fine, just leave it a couple of days and then all hell broke loose. Current physio wanted my running again but nothing over a couple of K for a while. And shed loads of exercises. Did the trick. Back up to 5K in a couple of weeks.

You'll get there, but take it very gently.....

Thanks Sallenson, that's useful to hear your experience, good to hear you're running well again.

I can only for two runs in within the next week and will stick to the 3.5k and slowly increase from there.

At least you’re able to run though - imagine if he’d said strictly IC for a few weeks? 😳😳

Take it easy, do those important exercises and you’ll be back on your way to 10k again soon!

I read that as good news! 👏👏👏👏

Thanks cheeky, yes it is good news. I just really started to enjoy it though and I have to force myself to be patient for the longer term!
