Which run to do

On Saturday i was running W5 D3 the 20 minutes straight run and got to 18 minutes and i found a loose stone with my weak ankle which stopped me in my tracks.

Well it seems to be better now so it was only a minor stress/tweak and i am thinking of a run tonight but which one to do?

Do I a) go with the 20 min run again

b) go back to the start of week 5 again

Or c) go on to week 6 as i was almost all the way through the run and know i would have finished it well.

Or d) something else!!

A) and if you only get to 18 again it’s A again next! You’re so close already, only a stone stopped you... you got this

As I sit here now, I'd say to you carry on with W6R1. But I know if it was me and I stopped 2 mins from the end, I'd want to do it W5R3 again as I'd feel like I hadn't really completed the session. But then I'd be really annoyed as I like to start a new week each Monday and it would throw everything out of sync. So I might carry on.

It's so tricky! Only you can really decide!

I would go C as it’s a progressive programme and I think it’s good for your head to carry on going forward. There is no hurry of course so you can go nice and steady

It’s entirely up to you of course, and in the scheme of things, it doesn’t matter which you opt for. A lot depends on how you feel on the day. Choose a nice route 😃👍

Good luck. Have fun 👍
