Well done on nearing the end of the beginning. I am weeks away from finishing but feeling really enthusiastic about achieving my small runs of eight minute. I have a milestone run to do next- wishing you luck and looking forward to reading about your final run.๐Ÿ™‚ your so near to graduating๐ŸŽ“, canโ€™t wait to see your shiny badge against your name.

Thank you Hun, I never believed Iโ€™d be running 30 mins all be it very slowly but hopefully that will come later. Iโ€™m no where near 5k yet but thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m working to hopefully in under an hour but not a big deal if itโ€™s over. X

Why not try this website: parkrun.org.uk. They do 5K.

My hubby does them every week, I usually go to one of the ones he does as itโ€™s 3 x round a local park Iโ€™m aiming for that one so at least if I have to drop out Iโ€™m not stuck out in the middle of god knows where lol.

Youโ€™re not likely to need to drop out as you can simply walk the rest of the way. My first parkrun was in week 8 of C25k so I wasnโ€™t ready to run 5k but I didnโ€™t have to. I just did the week 8 run - walk 5 mins run 28 then walk again to the finish line. Some people walk the whole way at parkrun.

Oh good, you know about this event. I understand some are miles away from where some people live. Imagine having to make your way back on foot it would be a challenge.๐Ÿ™‚

Why would you have to go home on foot? If itโ€™s miles away you will have used some kind of transport to get there and you can get home the same way. After I ran my 28 minutes for example I walked to the finish line of course but then I drove home.
