Is it better to have a hot or cold shower after a run?

Does it make a difference? Does one benefit you more? And can you jump straight in or should you cool down a bit first?

I'd cool down and have a glass of water and do some stretching first. Otherwise the stretching might get overlooked and that's not good.

But maybe it depends on who else is going to be in the shower :-)

Temperature up to you, but I'd go slightly cool....

A warm shower can help to warm up your muscles before you run.If you think on occasions you would benefit from that. This in addition to your normal warm up routine.

Post exercise including all your warm down routine can be shower or bath as appropriate. If you feel

any soreness a good soak in arnica I find helps your recovery.

Have not mentioned temperature because I am not getting into an ice bath, which obviously aids blood flow to all parts. The pros do it, so it must be good.🤔

I think I might die and never run again.🙈😂

Do what suits you and having your body ready and supporting your recovery.💥🏃‍♀️💥
