I did W4R1 on Saturday morning....I misjudged the location where the 5min warm up walk would finish and the first run would begin and found myself running up a steep hill at the very start....needless to say it was torture and upset the rest of R1.

I did W4R2 tonight and thankfully used my noodle and walked the steep hill bit before starting the running.....a completely different experience. I always find the first 10-12 minutes of any type of exercise hard work, mentally and physically, but once past that I felt really good. I even felt like I could of run for longer....that said the last 5 minute run was down hill. I think psychologically R2 was important to me....R1 left me feeling a little negative and intimidated. But now I feel like I can do R3 quite confidently.

Well done! I try not to cheat and look ahead to what the next week’s runs would look like. So when I turned on the app tonight for W4R1 it was a shock. But I got started and when the halfway bell rang, I found I was a lot further into my route than usual. That gave me a huge boost, instead of my usual turn into the road I live, I ran further and walked back arriving bang on time. So now I feel absolutely high as a kite and want to knock off the rest of the week and move on.

Well done! You’ll find that some runs go better than others, and the further you get into the programme, the better ones outnumber the worse ones. Ie you tend to end on a high more often than not! 😀

Good luck with the rest of the programme and trust it. It’s very clever and prepares your body for the week ahead, even if it might not feel like it at the time! 😀😀🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Toxic ten is well documented... for some of us.. it lasts a lot longer!

Huge well done you..just keep it slow and steady and you will be just fine. Each run is making you stronger. Also, as the runs get longer.. up some of your rest day strength and stamina exercise a tad:)
