Hi .. Few weeks off since W9R3 graduation

Hi

I’ve had a few weeks break from running due to holidays/ hot weather . Have been repeating W9 of the app to consolidate and improve my speed . However, after a space of nearly 3 weeks found I had lost some of the fitness and struggled with a 30 min run and especially breathing trying to catch my breath( haven’t experienced this before)

My plan was to repeat say W5 of the app onwards as a strategy.

Any views/ ideas/ comments appreciated?

It sounds like you’re going too fast if you can’t breathe. Slow down, plod along and get your body used to 30 minutes again. Going back to week 5 seems a bit much to me - maybe week 6 or 7?

Thanks for your advice will try going a bit slower and maybe back to Wk 6 or 7

Did you manage all 30 though? No point going back to week 5 if you can manage 30 minutes.

Thanks for your advice. I've had three eels off and struggled getting bacK to 30 mins/5k
