Just completed W6R1

I thought it was going to be easier than it actually was for W6R1. I still had to dig deep. But I did it, exactly as Sarah told me to! I’ve been reading posts on here about this particular stage and it would seem to be a general feeling of plateau? Many people talk about running 11/12 minute miles at this point. I am sure I am nowhere near that -probably more like 15/16 minutes, I do know I am very slow. There is room for improvement, I know that too. All I am doing is just running, I have no idea how far or how fast, just running.

You are doing just amazing you should be so proud of yourself keep going. I have just completed my first ever 20 minute run running very slow and on the treadmill still not had the courage to run outside. I find it a little boring so really need to venture outside. W6 r1 on Saturday

I thought the same - it was a bit... meh.

I certainly didn’t get the same feeling of euphoria that I did after Week 5 Run 3!

I shall have to have a look at my Fitbit and see if I can work out how to see how many mph I am doing, but I suspect it will be around the figure you mentioned. I don’t care though, I just think that running the session is what counts, I can work on my speed at some later point!

Hopefully the next run will be more enjoyable...
