I’m on week four. Hoping to shift my mummy tummy as getting married in April. Has running helped to tone up your stomach or should I be doing another exercise? Running is the only form of exercise I enjoy ha. When did you start to see results in your health and fitness and weight? X

Weight loss/flat stomach
I was told by a friend that running would help over all but recommended doing planks for tummy muscles (she says they are better than sit ups). There’s a plank challenge app which I have downloaded and will start, I promise 😉
Try hold your tummy in when you run. Easier said than done though! Also as Kezy80 says, do some planking. There are a few workout apps that target certain areas which are good.
Morning.
I'm a good 2 stone over weight. I've just completed w9r2 this morning (go me!) and I haven't lost a single pound, but I'm eating more since I started running and exercising so I'm not likely to either 😂
I do upper body workout on my non run days and chuck in a couple of leg strengthening exercises to help with the running. I've also started going to a bootcamp type class once a week in place of a run. So you can see why I eat more!
Despite not losing any weight, my dresses are all looser and people keep asking if I've lost weight. For the first time in my life I've got definition in my arms (I can't stop showing my guns off to anyone 😂), and I feel strong and fit. I've stopped worrying about my weight and am just concentrating on how amazing I feel. I noticed the improvement around week 6 when I realised my stamina was increasing, I had much more get up and go in my day to day life, and I felt so much stronger in the run. I think week 6 is a turning point for many of us.
I'm still amazed at how effective this program is and even more amazed at how much I love running.
Good luck!
