Woke up to grey skies and steady rain this morning, and almost used it as an excuse to postpone my run. However, my heart was set on completing week 4, so I battened down my showerproof (ha!) jacket, got out there...and had my best run yet. For the first time, I got the pace right for every run and wasn't clinging on in desperation for that blessed voice to tell me to slow down. I felt like I must be on the road to becoming a runner to voluntarily be out in this, and I enjoyed every minute of it, deceptively deep puddles and all.
I got home, peeled off my jacket and wrung out my trainers, and felt jolly pleased with myself. Bring on week 5, and more great British weather ☔
