Dog attack!

Didn’t manage to complete my week 5 run today due to a dog!

Was happily running along with my partner when a dog appeared out of nowhere, ran towards us growling and yapping, right towards my ankles. Really thought he was going to bite me. Cue panic attack in the middle of the street. Thankfully my partner steered me away and no harm done, but didn’t quite fancy carrying on after that.

Never mind, there’s always another day!

Urgh! You're not the only one lately to encounter a dog off the leash. There's a post over the Bridge to 10K forum about an unpleasant encounter and it was pointed out that this is definitely something you're entitled to report as if you feel threatened by the dog then it's not under control.

Did you manage to get out again since to complete Week 5?

Unfortunately I’m in Sri Lanka, so I don’t think anyone is going to care about it! It’s definitely worth noting for when I’m back in the UK though!

Finally finished week 5 although it’s been a struggle - temp is 35+ and the humidity is, at its lowest, 80%. Honestly, I’ve half given up trying to progress much along C25k and just trying to get out for a bit of a run/ walk combo.

Oh! Of course - I did see your previous posts, Malaysia before this was it! Lots of tropical running. You're doing brilliantly and do take care of yourself - you're right to tone it down massively in those conditions! I haven't been out in a week, here in London.
