It's great that you know you need to get back to it, and a self-inflicted kick up the rear is a great start, but reasoning sits in a different part of the brain as your emotions and motivation - and they can't always be reasoned with. Start triggering memories of feeling really good while running, can you remember what you saw, how you enjoyed whizzing (?!) past the outdoors, or got lost in your own thoughts while the world stopped for a glorious few minutes? Visualise what you felt. Rather than focus on pace and what times you 'should be doing by now', try to find 'feeling as good as I can, for as long as I can' while you run. You might need to get over the first 5 minutes or so of your set (depending on where you are in the programme) before you settle into your comfortable pace. Don't push it, just let the legs carry you and notice all the positive things about the experience and the location. You almost want to finish the run feeling like you want to carry on. Hope that helps!
