week 2 run 2

I felt a bit heavy.......but easily completed. I took my tiny 5 lb dog. She did fantastic.....pulling me along. She is Paisley. A great runner she is!!! Tomorrow is week 2 run 3. Is it ok that some days I sort of drag myself through? It isnt hard I just feel heavy sometimes.....I am loving my days off. Yoga and biking and just nice walks.....

Hi Tabatha! You’re doing it! And it sounds like you have the perfect running buddy too! 😁 You seem to be doing a lot of different exercises, which is good, but it’s important to let your body recover to have the energy for the next run too. Drink plenty of water every day so that you’re well hydrated. Hopefully it will start to feel less like your dragging yourself through. Go slow and enjoy!! ❤️

I just finished week 2 (have restarted the program several times) but this is the only time where I have actually proactively stopped thinking how hard it was and how long there was left until next walking round and shifting that mindset to, again, proactively thinking about how enjoyable the running bits were, no matter how slowly I went. It was "me" time after all and I was not bothered by work or anything outside running. I found running it's the only thing that clears my mind :) (as I can't think of anything else other than "breathe, and you´ll survive this!").
