1. I have no concept of speed - having tried and failed on Monday to complete this run in the heat, I set out today with the constant mantra in my head of "slow down" and ran, I felt, as slow as I could without actually walking and (I felt ) much slower than Monday - I completed the run easily (Yay !) but then looked at my watch to find that I had run faster than Monday AND had energy left for upping the speed for the last minute.
2. The App allows you to play your own music ! Note to self - must do more reading up before you start something. I was using the Podcasts and was, to be honest, getting a bit bored with the same music on each run - so having read a post on here yesterday I swapped to the app today and boy did it make a difference - I lost myself in my music and the time went a lot quicker. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk helped me over the finish line at a (almost ) sprint - I CAN run for 25 minutes - "If you don't believe me - Just watch"
3. Not to be too hard on yourself - Monday was my first failure to finish. I spent last night tossing and turning dreaming about having to go through it all again today - BUT it was fine. Made sure I was well hydrated, my own music helped and I DID IT ! Think I may have frightened the squirrels with my whoop of joy at the end.
On to week 7 .........
