Laura said this week might be tougher and she was right. Still managed to up the pace for the last minute bit it's hard work now. Didn't help that I wore a new pair of socks, Balega Hidden Comfort, and towards the end my feet were sweating and moving inside the sock slightly. They didn't slip into my shoes but my feet felt like they were slipping inside the socks. No signs of any blisters, hopefully all will be well for W8 starting on Saturday. I realise now I should have washed them before use, I'll be disappointed if they're still the same after washing. Anyone have similar issues with socks?

Hi

Feeling very similar about W7 - hard work.

Went out today and it was a better run... but still tough.

Up to 28 mins next week - we can do it

Every step up so far I’ve dreaded and then managed - so fingers crossed for W8

We are so nearly there 😄

Ps hope the socks are better after a wash

I'm the same regarding dreading the step up, I'm always surprised when I get to the end unscathed haha. 6 more runs and we've done it :)

I really hope the socks are better after a wash, my feet are a bit sore now. My other ones are Hilly Mono, I only bought another pair to save washing after every run. The Hilly ones have lots of panels and aren't completely smooth on the soles but they didn't cause my feet to slide when I wore them new.

I’m glad you feel the same about the step up. But I know we will do it.

So close now 😄

Fingers beers crossed for the socks... if you’re still struggling after washing let m know and I’ll tell you the brand mine are (I can’t remember at the mo.) as they’ve been really good.

I contacted the shop where I bought them, Run4It, I was told it might be a problem with the thickness of them. I've to take them back to be replaced with something more suitable. I went there for a gait analysis when I bought my shoes, they were really helpful, I'm impressed with their service.
