The first five minutes can be a struggle. It seems forever before Laura says I've ran for five minutes. After that I seem to get my pace and breathing ok for the next twenty minutes. It's slow and steady and still no burst of speed for that last minute that Laura would like to happen...............still happy enough though that I'm actually running the full twenty five.

The first 5 minutes are always a struggle for me too. I'm thinking about taking more time to warm up and throwing in some dynamic stretches, see if I can get loosened up a bit....

I do the 5 minute brisk walk - never do stretches. Think my mind over rules my feet and legs those first five minutes plus I have a small hill start........... Be interesting to know if your dynamic stretches help.
