W10r1 so first session post graduation and 1st time I tracked distance. SO disappointed to track just over 3 km 😩 I knew I was slow but thought I would have at least broken the 4K barrier by now. Still at least I now have my next goal to work towards sigh
Feeling blah: W10r1 so first session post... - Couch to 5K

Well done for the postgrad run. I was only making a little more then this in my early runs. I had to extend one run over 30 mins to get further.
I started increasing my third run by 10%, so 33 mins, 36, 40, 44 all towards getting 5k.
Hope you get where you want to.
That's what I did the first few consolidation runs. I'm never going to get a lot faster so I need to run for longer to run further. I've not been running properly in this hot weather but am out for a proper half hour tonight. I doubt I'll go much over 3.3km, that's fine with me. As soon as it is cooler I will increase the time of one run a week until I get to 5k. Pace is individual. Mine is slow! I don't compare myself to others, i just enjoy it!! 🐢🐢🐢🐌🐌🐌
Kaz, you have the fitness and stamina to run for 30 minutes without the need of an oxygen mask and all that from a 9 week programme. That's a pretty good result! Im sure the distance will continue to improve. I look at graduation a bit like a driving test. There are things that you continue to refine, until it just becomes second nature. Im looking forward to that one day. Enjoy your future runs! Im sure that the distance will take care of itself. Well done!! ❤️
Thank you for the inspiring posts. You are all right. When I reviewed my last app - Map my Walk I was doing 15 minute kms so 10 minute ones are definite progress. I will definitely keep on keeping on and repost here when I hit the 5K (either over longer timeframe or quicker pace) ❤️
And I’m pretty sure I’ll be seeing your news! Enjoy! You’re already brilliant! ❤️
Thank you - I note you are not far behind so good luck on your final 2 before graduation. If you are anything like me I bet you never dreamed you would be a runner in your youthful middle years x
Update guys. My run yesterday included 4 small gradients and although still hovering around 10 min kms I kept on going for a further 10 mins with relative ease so covered 4K. I think that will be my route for the time being to keep same pace but go for longer
