Week 8 run 2. The fairy tale of the tortoise with no hair.

That was the title wasn’t it? Anyway I reaaally need to find a better time to run. 26 ish in the shade isn’t what my Celtic blood is made for!

I slapped some sunscreen on the shiny scalp where hair once dwelt, and plodded off with the usual metal gods and rock demons, air drumming my little heart away.

Managed 28 mins, not bothered that I slowed even more than ever. You could go faster, said MJ. I replied using words to make a docker blush.

1/2 a K less distance than normal. That’s ok. Week 8 will continue into next calendar week due to work. That’s ok too. It’s slowly approaching week 9 and I cannot wait.

Ah well done. 26 degrees? I take my hat off to you! Yes being a fair-skinned (half) Celt myself I can fully sympathise. Well done for getting through it.

Absolutely, I’ve put off run 3 as it’s just too hot! Cooler today so planning on finishing week 8 this evening... slowly!
