Did my first 'run' of Wk 8 first hing this morning. I wasn't relishing the 28 min run in this heat so had two rest days and half a banana (usually I run fasted).
For the first time in the programme I felt I just didn't have the energy after the Toxic 10 to keep running (even at just 7.2 km/hr) so keep the speed the same and went to a fast walk with an incline of 2. My heart rate actually stayed the same. By the end I was still a nice shade of purple.
I didn't quit but clearly I wasn't running so that was a shame.
I'm wondering if I should go back and do Wk 7 again?
Also, daft question, but when people refer to a 30 min 5k, is that including a warm-up and cool down walk? If so, I'm currently at about 38" doing 4.2km so a way to go.
