Hi all - so I’ve prob been doing the programs for 7-8 weeks or so, but repeating many weeks to ensure I could step up. So I’ve done week 5 run 1 and 2 twice, ready for my first 20 mins for run 3. Good ol jump ain’t it! Would love to hear some tips thanks !

Hiya, I hadn't spotted that jump in run length as I worked my way through Week 5, then on the morning of run3,as I was doing my 5min walk I said out loud "bloody hell Laura!" Anyway, she said I could do it, and she had been right about every other week, so I took her at her word and just...did it! I was amazed that it was even possible, but that sense of achievement has stuck with me. I hurt my back on week 6 and hobbled home after run 2. I laid off the running for three weeks and was scared that I would not get back into it again, but knowing I had run for 20mins on wk5r3 kept me positive. After the break I began again at week 4, but knew I could manage each run as I had already run for 20mins previously. :-)

I have now run wk7r2 this morning, for 25mins. My sense of achievement is huge, and yours will be too. Think JFDI and go for it!

Just use all the pacing skills you've learned so far! Start slow, don't panic or overthink anything. Your mind will be more likely stop than your legs will - it's about knowing you can do it, and willing yourself to continue, because you definitely, definitely can!

No jump... just anther run for which you are totally ready:)

Start slow, stay slow.. relax and KNOW you can do this...that is all it takes.... slow steady steps:)

You can do it! I queried the jump in minutes to run but I did it with an extra 2 mins added so I could finish the track I had on as it was really motivating. It actually seems easier to run without intervals after I’ve just done W6r1 & 2 where you’re back to walking!

Let us know how you get on 👍🏼👍🏼

It's a jump on paper but in reality it's fine. Just remember to start slow so you can keep going. Do whatever you need to do to drown any thoughts of if being hard! I've even seen someone end a run running like pheobe in friends to keep themselves and everyone else going to the end!
