On my second week of my couch to 5 k any one recommend a good running shoe ? Being doing this on the treadmill until I get home I wonder how different it will be when I run at home.

It sounds like overkill considering the amount of running we actually do, but do go to a proper running shop where they do gait analysis. What's the right shoe for one person would cripple another. At my specialist running shop they only charge £20 - less than half the cost of a physio visit - and you get a voucher for that back if you buy shoes. And the shoes were not ultra-expensive either. They watched me on the treadmill as well as up and down the shop, and I was given a choice and chance to run in the new shoes to find which I preferred. I ended up in a neutral Saucony with a wide sole for stability and it immediately stopped my kneecaps aching (£90). They were identical to my Saloman ones except with slightly less grip and a more flexible sole - but it was this that made the difference. When I compared it with how much I might spend on some fashion trainers too, it was well worth the investment.

To paraphrase Equi-geek one persons clouds are anothers bucket of nails. The link below includes info on gait analysis- spoiler alert - it's not a con 😄 (At the right place).
