Got to see a rheumatologist (quite quickly as the usual waiting time in Northern Ireland is 2 and a half years - I kid you not) about my mystery pains. He reckons I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica and I (after Duck Duck Going it) am thinking he is right.
I haven't been able to run since March, I do walk on days when my groin pain is mild. I am hoping to go to the gym and maybe try starting C25K on the treadmill, that way I won't be a mile from home if I get too sore to run.
Just checking in with my friends here, who may have wondered where I had gone. I haven't even been reading the daily posts as it just made me miss running more

Sorry to hear that you have Polymyalgia Rheumatic - I was diagnosed about 6 years ago after not being able to move at all, I was as stiff as a board! However I was put on a course of steroids and within a few days I was back to normal. This was years before I started running. I hope that you feel better soon and that you get back to running. It’s a complete pain when it takes a while to get diagnosed. Good luck to you and happy running 👍
