W5R3

20mins running - I can’t believe I just did that! It wasn’t comfortable and it took almost 10mins to find my pace. I actually covered less ground than W5R2 despite running for longer.

I much prefer a short run then a little walk first to help me loosen up and find my rhythm.

Should I do that run again before moving onto W6R1 like my coach Michael suggested?

Well done on the milestone run.

Your unsettled ten minutes is something that all runners experience healthunlocked.com/couchto5... so don't worry on that score.

You are in control, so it is your decision. Most people move straight on and often struggle with W6R1, so maybe a repeat of W5R3 is a wise decision.

Thanks for that and the helpful link- I think I need to do a pre-warm up session- 5 minutes isn’t enough for me!

I also found more running didn’t equal more distance. How weird is that. Especially since my ‘brisk’ walk is more of a slow stroll. I don’t seem to be able to do brisk.
