A sweaty start!

Just completed my first run and feeling fab, if a little hot! I play rugby so short runs are not too difficult, but never run a full 5k in my life so building up to complete a charity run at the end of the summer. I have to say, with the right music and Sarah Millican chatting in my ear, I actually enjoyed running...never thought I’d ever say that! Here’s to the next 9 weeks!

Any little tips that helped you in the beginning would be warmly welcomed!

Don't worry about the 5k in C25K, this programme is about getting you to run for 30 minutes, 3 times a week, the vast majority of graduates can't run that fast, many will achieve 5k but not in 30 minutes, with your September goal in mind, follow the programme, keep it slow and steady to begin with, the increased amount of time running ad you progress through the weeks is challenging enough, the most common mistake nade5is to run too fast in the early weeks, keep posting so we know how you are getting on

Hello Oonagh, I didn’t find this forum until W7. It’s definitely a bonus to read everyone’s experiences and to ask questions as you go along. Do read the link that you have been sent as it gives some important information . Well done for starting this programme- trust in it and you will be amazed at your progress. 👍
