Actually managed to complete this run but oh was it hard and I hate running in the sun so I set off at 6.30am to try and avoid the heat. I ran along the seafront which is perfect of course but then to turn around and face the sun I was sweltering. How I will complete the last two runs in this weather I really don’t know unless anyone out there has any ideas?

I’ve also only run 3.62Km so a long way off 5k, the thought of a longer run to achieve that is quite daunting!

The distance will come the more you do it.if you keep up your 3 runs a week, at 30 minutes, your pace will get faster over time. I also hate the heat so run early, I take my chilled water bottle. Not to drink but to spray myself with went I get too hot! :)

Running early or late is the only sensible option at the moment. But hey, only two more to go. If you can run in this sort of weather, you can take on anything!!

C'mon, hon, nearly there and the drinks are in the chiller just waiting for you xx

Thanks, I’m feeling more upbeat now I’ve recovered and won’t be beaten even if I have to get up at 4am! Yes chilled drinks sound lovely.
