Out at 5:30 to beat the heat. Ran with a baseball-style hat and shades - well it looked cool to me!
Changed how I use Strava to only record the actual run - plus fumbling with the phone. So now I know that I have a way to go to get to 5 kilometers.
Distance: 3.93km Time moving: 30:24 Average speed: 7:43/km.
The biggest issue today was sheep (Sheep are my neighbours). I am coming down the lonnin (lane) and can see ahead ewes with lambs blocking it. I start to think 'farmer moving a herd', but no, these are escaped, and they start running away from me - luckily away from the main road. I am never sure what to do about this situation, but fortunately Laura rang the half-way bell and I was able to turn round.

Yeah I only use Strava to record the run, but as you mention, fumbling with the phone is a nightmare, there is a setting in Strava that says keep the screen active but it doesn't seem to work for me. So the phone is inside the phone arm band, my fingerprint won't work through the plastic, so I am struggling to input the pass code to start Strava!! It a right pain, I think a running watch is the way to go.
