Have got to W5 and completed run 2. Run 3 seems a bit daunting! Any tips please before I attempt the run on Monday? TIA 😊

Is W5 run 2 the one where you run for 5 minutes twice? If it is i did it today. (sorry not near my phone so cant access the app to see)

I thought that it was going to be much harder than it was. I managed it, but just seem run 3 and am now freaking out....20 minutes running ahhhhh x

Cheers for the reply. Week 5 run 2 is 8 mins x 2. Run 3 is 20 mins 😬

Hopefully this will make sense. Don't wait for the break. Up'til now you've known if you run for 5 or 8 minutes, you are rewarded with a rest break. The rest break is like a Christmas bonus, it's nice if you get one, but do't rely on it.

It is more important than ever from here on in to find YOUR pace. It is better to start slow and speed up if you've got a little left in the tank - you don't want to go flying off and run out fuel half way home.

Don't time watch - just let your app coach manage the time. Just concentrate on breathing and pace.

What Julian1970 (the runner) said.

Relax in the first quarter of the run, keep it really slow. Be steady in the middle 10 and just keep going through the final quarter.

It’s a landmark and the buzz is immense. Enjoy it.

If you’ve done the runs up to this point, you are ready. It is daunting, but on the other side you will feel amazing. Have faith in yourself and the plan, this run really is all in your head. When it’s done, you will believe that 30+ minutes is a possibility. Go smash it, good luck. The whole forum is behind you. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜Š

Completed W5R3 today. Just concentrated on the track ahead and the time flew by. Felt great afterwards. If I can do it at 70 I am sure you can whatever your age.

I think the thought of it is so much worse. You get your pace right and you'll be laughing. And my advice, make sure your route is right. My first attempt at this run was hard because stupid me didn't plan my route and encountered a HUGE hill. Second time I sailed through. Good luck!
