Week 6 Run 2 - that damn walk in between!

I think it’s the combination of the thought of the 3 minute walk in between runs or the actual 3 minute walk that really makes the session hard.

The first 10 minutes were hard - was it that I knew there was a 3 minute walk? The 1st 2 minutes of run 2 were a struggle but after that I was in the flow and perhaps over the Toxic Ten?

I am actually looking forward to run 3 which is 25 minutes straight - this should either prove my theory or not .

Anyone have the same issues?

Yes it’s great when you can just get into the flow of the run for sure. Good luck for run 3!

Ray, be not afraid!! Everyone has the same problem, or a lot of us anyway. Breaking it up is cruel and unusual.

From R3 till the end of the programme, no more walk breaks. You just run until you fall over :-)

I had same problems with these runs. Just done the 25 min run first 5 or so mins were hard but kept telling myself it's just toxic 10 at half way I thought wow that went fast next 10 were ok n when she said 5 mins left I picked up the pace albeit slightly til the end. When I finished I cried. Wk6 is defo a mental battle. Keep at it and well done on your run.
