Wk4R1 slower than Wk1 - will I get faster?

I just completed Wk4R1 this morning and I was dreading this bad boy! But for the most part I did it although swearing at Sarah Millican helped (in my head I didn't have the breath for real words!!)

My questions are-

1- I seem to be going slower than week 1... is this normal?

2- I have always had lead legs during the walking phases but today I also had pins and needles and a slightly numb right foot... any suggestions?

3 - I feel a bit light headed today... again will this go as I (hopefully) get fitter?

4- did anyone else feel that wk 3 was markedly 'easier' (it didn't feel like it last week trust me!) than wk4?

Thank you for reading and thanks for a great site 😃

I did find Wk4 a big step up from Wk3 and yes I think my pace dropped a bit, but I found I covered more distance, probably as there is more running and less walking. Don’t rush it and find your pace is what I’d say - don’t push too hard and just enjoy the fact you’re now running for 16 minutes!

Don't worry at all if you think you're getting slower week on week. That's completely normal. I think because the early weeks have shorter running bits we tend to push them too hard. When the runs get longer we're forced to slow them down. This isn't about speed or pace or distance. It's about putting in the minutes. Doesn't matter how slow you are. You're still building up your running legs.
