Amazed with myself that I have got this far.

My lovely boyfriend wanted to go to town on Saturday, to the sports shop, turns out he wanted to get himself some shoes and shorts so he could run with me :) lovely surprise!

He's coming out with me for the first time today, he'll come as far as he can with me and I'll carry on to 30min. To be honest he never does any exercise but is one of those slim, fast running, fast metabolism people so he'll probably show me up! It's lovely to have the support though.

27 runs. Here we are going out running together, 9 weeks ago I would have been too unfit and embarrassed.

So here goes with w9r9. Fingers crossed!

This plan really is amazing. :)

I hope it went well.

It did! Loved it. He stayed with me all the way round and I achieved my fastest pace per mile so far by a minute.

Guess some people are just natural runners. I know I am not one of those people, but I am doing it anyway!

Next stop, park run :) have you tried a flatter one yet? X

Well done, graduate!

Not tried another Parkrun yet - my pace is so slow and I am still not particularly close to 5k - but I will do one in the month ahead. I don’t want to push it and end up back on the IC.

What are your plans for running from now?

Sounds like a plan. I am doing about 3.5k in 30 mins, bit more today so hopefully I am getting better.

Going to try to extend how long I am running time wise, gradually, as well as maybe finding some different settings with longer distances and see how I go until I am comfortable with attempting a park run. There is a nice one not far from me so might check out the route on a non park run day.

Need to set goals so i stay motivated. X

Good plan. I’ve stuck to two 30 min runs then a growing third one - 33, 36, 40, 44 (only done the first two so far) hoping to reach 5k within 44.

Then I plan to do a 30, a 20 and a 5k each week. When I’m comfy with that I’ll try Bridge to 10k 😱

How lovely, my brother who had done no training ran a 5km with me last monday and was a lot quicker. Not fair is it :)
