Another week, another run... Up to the dizzy lengths of Week 8.

I thought I would see what my heart was doing today, so:

On getting out of bed at 5:30: 55bpm.

At the end of the W8 run: 122bpm.

After the warm down 5 mins: 79bpm.

After breakfast, about 25 minutes later: 63bpm.

I have no idea if this is bad or good. Off to the shower now, and then start Monday for real. Have fun everyone.

It's very good theoldfellow, a resting BPM of under 60 is considered excellent for someone of your age, (by referring to your name I assume you are 60+) I am now 72 and the last time I took my RESTING bpm it was 56, previous to starting C25K it was 63, so your resting bpm of 55 or 63 is really very good, An professional resting athletes bpm can be in the 40's or even 30's

I'm 68, and hadn't done any serious exercise for 50 years before starting C25K. Thank you for the info. I think I was most pleased to see how quickly my heart rate came down from the running level. I did push very hard at the end of the run.
