Consolidation..... starts here

Entering hugely busy period at work, worst of the year, squeezing runs in is going to be tough but managed one Tues this week, 30 mins but even with warm up cool down only just breaking 4K. Having to run at 7-730 pm before I eat as have such an early start during the week that getting up at 4 am to run not really an option 😂 may end up taking more rest days and running best at weekends until the summer holidays - that looks like a long list of excuses. Don’t want to give up now so may need to really grit teeth and crack on, consolidation really seems to be the right word for this period.

Well done you!

Just run as and when you can....it can be so frustrating trying to fit the runs in...:)

I am retired. but still struggling at the mo' to get the runs in during the week... so I make sure I try to get a least one good long one in on a Sunday!

Just fit in runs where you can and if they are just a short burst do not fret... I simply pop in a 1K if I am pushed for time... any run is better than none:)

Well done. You are running more in 30 mins than I am.

Fit in what you can - I had to switch to evening runs and found them less difficult than I feared.

Going out three times would be good but don’t beat yourself up if you really can’t.

Don't beat yourself up because then you might stop altogether. You just have to hang on in there through the busy spell. I've just done 3 weeks on only managing 1 run each week but on track for 3 this week. Things will even out for you 🙂

Agreed, I feel better for fitting in the running at all! Know I have to be realistic ✅👍🏻

Same as the others said Lydia - keep at it, it's probably the most dangerous time for us re potential lapses, having just graduated - and especially if you have such work pressure too. So don't beat yourself up when you simply can't get out there, but make sure you do when you can :)

Agree, mean to be positive and get in what I can. But also not to exhaust reserves of energy!!! 🤔

Lydia - as the others have said- just do what you can when you can.

I’ve done two post grad runs- both been awful. Was on the verge of packing in this morning after about 10 mins. Had the voice shouting “ give up, why are you doing this” in my ear. Started walking then another slow ( like me) runner ran past me, so thought I would try again. Only managed 3 km and only ran for 23 mins.

Trying to keep the faith that so long as I’m doing something , it’s better than nothing. Also considering going back to wk8 and plugging back into Sarah M to keep me focused. . Good luck with your running Lydia 😘
