Week 7, finding it a chore

Hi, I'm hoping this will pass! I've been feeling less motivated since moving to the longer runs, cos there's no break to look forward to! I'm doing the course with a local running group, running weekly together, and fitting in 2 "homework" runs on my own. I work full time too, and I'm finding it tiring. I do stretch afterwards, but still feel pretty stiff and sore generally. I'm starting to look forward to the course being over, which isn't what I wanted, I want to become a regular casual runner. Please can any seasoned runners reassure me that I will fall in love with running eventually?! I'm just finding it hard work at the moment! Many thanks!

You will feel less tired and achy as time goes on and your stamina increases. Also I think your confidence will increase with experience so you can relax into the running more. Remember your goals and keep on with the programme. You will feel like love I promise 👍🏃🏾‍♀️😊

You will get stronger finding easier and possibly enjoy it in time.

Most people find slowing down improves their enjoyment and it in no way going to significantly affect your development as a runner.
