Still in Spain with a sick boat! (Engineers fixing this week....). I am abandoning ship on Tuesday so thought I should get at least 1 more run in before then.
The coast of Almenucar...simultaneously beautiful and ugly....and quite hot at 9am! But woooo...I hurtled past the 5k mark with 2 of my Kms at 6mins32secs..... almost respectable!!
Much as I will miss Captain Ahab....I am looking forward to heading home...who knows when I will see him, stepson and said boat...it’s a long way to west coast of Scotland from here!!

Ha! “ Simultaneously ugly and beautiful” this is exactly what my ancestral patch (Catalonia) is like, blighted by unregulated building for tourism during the dictatorship (and beyond...) There are only teeny tiny spots of wild coastline hanging on with the help of conservationists. I’m not surprised it’s already hot at 9am.
Keep posting, we need to know whether the boat gets back 😉
