W6 run 3

Just ran 25 minutes for the first time in my life! Pretty hard in the last 5 minutes but I kept going ( not tremendously fast). I had a slight pulled muscle in my calf on w6r1 so I had a week off and started w6 again. I'm nearly 52, can't remember running since school so, if I can do it, anyone can!

25 minutes is brilliant. So close to 30 minutes now.

Since I completed week 5, run 3 the "dreaded" 20-minute run which should not be feared, I enjoyed it with no problems, there have been a couple of firsts in my life, that 20 minutes was also the first time I had ran that distance, the next week, the first time I had ever ran 25 minutes and so on to 28 minutes, all firsts, to morrow Saturday I will run 28 minutes for week 8 run 2 and hopefully starting next Wednesday there will be another first, this time 30 minutes.
