Do we run every day?

After deciding to take control over my fitness, waistline and health I have downloaded the app. About to start wk1 but just wondered is it every day? TIA 👌

Nah it tells you you should have AT LEAST a full days rest in between runs - so every week you do three runs.

For the first few weeks you should definitely feel fine just leaving 1 days rest in between , so run on Monday Wednesday Friday Sunday, for example (your first 3 week 1 runs and the first week 2 run).

As it gets to the longer runs you might find it more beneficial to leave 2 days rest instead.

It also doesn’t mean 24 hours either - so you can’t run at 5am Monday morning and think oh I’ve had a days rest I’ll run at 5am Tuesday morning. It means have a complete day off from it, plus whatever bits of day are hanging around on the days you run.

Absolutely agree. Your body needs that full days rest to repair and recover. It’s non negotiable 😂

However there is nothing to stop you doing non impact exercise on your rest day, cycling, swimming, weight training etc but please not running. Enjoy the variety of other exercise. 👍
