W9R1 and a wave to any newbies 👋🏼

Another run in the bag despite a foolish choice of route along the river involving craters of mud worthy of the Somme, many aggressively overhanging nettles/brambles and a meadow in full flower - grass flowers (did I say I forgot to take a tissue?) I’m sure I could detect Laura shaking her head in disbelief. Anyhow despite this I did the 30 minutes without twisting my ankle, ripping my latest running shorts (Decathlon is my new favourite shop) or sneezing my glasses into the river.

The point being that I’m amazed at the difference in two months. W1R1 nearly finshed me off. So a big wave to anyone just starting. You can do this! 🏃🏻‍♀️🐌

Good for you 'Rossinyol' but I suppose you could have taken a better route for your run, 30 minutes means that you are now on week 9, there are 3 of them and the 3rd is your graduation run, for that one I would think you will not go that river route again, congratulations for almost completing C25K. Tomorrow I start on week 8, that is the 28-minute run, I will be running it along a route that I have walked hundreds of times, it is off road and in fact, part of a 10k and 5k course which are ran once a year in my local area with none of the obstacles you encountered like you described as being like the Somme.

I do seem to lack common sense at times. At the moment I’m struggling to find a route the right length so I can run back to the 5 minutes cool down start and end up neatly back home. ☺️

It must be the day for daft route choices, I ended up with an extra long nasty hill, and loads of nettles!

Still can’t believe it’s week 9 already; so glad I just kept on going out to run; and huge thanks to the presenter too.👍

Keep on at it, we’ll both have something to celebrate on the weekend 👍

Yep lots of nettles but no hills of course. I’m leaving that to a more (ahem) advanced stage.
