Week 8 completed, a bit later this morning as I had a terrible night's sleep. I see what you lot mean about the temperature making a difference. Was overtaken by speedy young things in fluorescent yellow but have got to the stage where I really don’t care.

I absolutely love the fact that this programme is for everyone and I feel completely normal doing it in my 50s. The menopause has been very very hard on me but when I’ve looked for advice on exercise it’s always been patronising stuff about “gentle” activity with the unspoken message of: “ you poor old thing. You’d better book your care home”. I hope fellow older folk are having the same feeling. As for you younger ones - yay! Look at how many happy years of activity you’ve got to come 😊🏃🏻‍♀️👟

Just a few words of encouragement from a fellow older menopausal lady! I just graduated last Thursday and am 55 and have been menopausal since I was 43, after chemo. I too have been badly affected but honestly doing this has been the best thing I could have done! I am fitter now than I have been for years, and it's not made the symptoms any worse. I do run better when it's cooler of course. I just made sure I never went too fast, but did manage a few sprints as I got to the end, and now will be working on going a little faster. I too don't worry about other people's speed, my own pace is best for me! Keep it up, you'll soon be on the finishing podium!!!
