Well that didn't go well. R1 of W6, a two day break from last run, and had to abort. Exactly half way through, searing pain on outside of calf. Slowed down and finished the 8 mins, but decided a stop was the best option. Now what? Been really careful.and kept to the plan %100, but this happened. I always end up breaking down at some point. A bit of non-impact cross training for a few days now I guess. So disappointed.

Oh dear, I get the calf pains but am very strict on warm up and cool down stretching of these. Not much advice I'm afraid.

Really sorry to read this. Like you say, best to rest up. Some sports physio might help if you can access it.

Roll and stretch..if it does not abate..go get it checked out.... I do and did everything by the book and after nearly two years running, still ended up with a calf tear!!
This may just be a muscle strain..your body will soon tell you
Yeah thanks. I rolled it afterwards and will do so again tomorrow. I may have done the same thing a few years back and it was quite short-lived I think. Hope it is the same.
