W7R3 - 7 Down, 2 To Go . . . . .

So, another run done, another week completed.

I really cannot believe just how quickly the last 7 weeks have gone. I would like to say this week ended with a flourish, a burst of speed, a mad dash to the finish line. But no. On a muggy, humid Saturday night, the sweat running down and stinging my eyes I got through the final 25 minute run.

I have to admit, I did not have the best preparations today, cooking and partaking of a BBQ to celebrate my nephew's daughter first birthday. Sausages and burgers not the best of running foods, although a rather delicious BBQ'd kipper was good for the protein and I did manage to keep off the beers.

We have also had some incredible down pours in this part of the world today and at one point I thought tonight's run might have fallen victim to the weather. But luckily for me, to a point, it stopped raining and we had the green light to go. It was the humidity and lack of any kind of breeze that made today's run very uncomfortable. How you guys do these runs on a treadmill indoors I'll never know, where does all the sweat go? I know where it went tonight . . . . in my eyes - man that stings!

Now with just two weeks to go, I am already starting to wonder what I'm going to do when it all comes to an end. It's been fantastic rambling on in the forum and I've enjoyed chatting with my virtual running buddies. I mean it when I say that all you guys on here have been so supportive and I may not have got through it without you.

So now a two day rest and we are then into week 8 and three 28 minute runs . . . . . bring it on!

Well done, were at the same point with week 8 knocking ☺

I've done all mine on treadmill, but it's so hot, sweaty (eye stinging) and exhausting that I've now mapped out a 5k round the village. My aim was to complete the 5 by my birthday, which I've now done, so new aim is to do the outside run on said day. I have under a week to psych up for it, but looking forward to some fresh running air.

I have done all my runs outside, they say it is very different to running on the treadmill to outside, so enjoy the new experience.

Hi I'm on my last run soon and can honestly say I found the weeks 8 and 9 the most satifying of the whole programme. You know if you can make 25 you can do 28 then 30. Not saying it's easy but definitely achievable.

Can't believe how far I have come.

Good luck

Nearly there, tiger, nearly there.

BBQ'd kipper both sound delicious and also a reasonable description of me after some of my outings :-)
