Planter fasciitis

I'm new to counch to 5 K, started W1R1 on Sunday and planned to do W1R2 yesterday, but have heel pain, I'm wondering if it Planter Fasciitis. My question is as I'm only in W1 can I continue and just stick at W1 for a few weeks till it passes and the muscles and tendons loosen with exercises?

TIA for any help or suggestions

I’ve had that - not from this c25k but previously when i used to run. I was advised not to run for a while. I had exercises to do - the best one was rolling a can of some sort - i used a deodorant can - back & forth under my foot. I also had acupuncture & i did other stuff at the gym - static bike etc that wasn’t weight-bearing- i also got some gel insoles for my shoes which helped. I’m in no way qualified to advise you but that was my experience. Sorry for the essay! Good luck & i hope it gets better.

Had this before and it was excruciatingly painful. Lasted about 3 years and even had steroid jabs in both heels. Only way I got rid of it was to but sketchers memory insole trainers and bought some pro II arch support insole as well. Took a few weeks but finally cured it. Hope this helps
