Hi, I did this one in the gym and ad to walk for a couple of mins half way. Found it really hard going. I had eaten a big morning meal a couple of hours earlier.... is this something that could make a difference?

Two hours, should have been OK🤔🙈.

You get hydration from food also.🤔

Keep ringing in the changes slowly that works for you.🤔

Not too many changes in your prep at any one time.

Keep it simple and hang onto the successful ones.🌟👏👏

Short answer is yes, especially if it's something you haven't done before. However, it could also just be one of 'those' runs - or both together 😀. The trick is not to let it put you off, just get on with getting on with the programme. Best wishes for a "best run yet" post next time.

Everything in life can affect your running and the longer you run the more you will appreciate this and make changes to your lifestyle to maximise the enjoyment of your running.

Restedness, hydration, nutrition, mental and emotional state are the major factors that need consideration. As Tbae says, try to identify the reason for bad runs and learn. Sometimes it is a mystery.

Thanks for all the help. I did w7w3 yesterday and it was all fine! I had a smaller breakfast and ran outside. I think I was probably running a bit faster on the treadmill than my usual pace too.
