After a 4 day break due to a painful ankle and the fact that my 2 year old had posted my orthotic shoe inserts down between the floorboards, I got my new custom orthotics and made my best pace ever, without trying to run faster. Still very slow at 9 mins/K, but at about 17 stone and 5ft 3inches (short legs lol) I am not beating myself up about that. Where did I get my data I hear you you ask? Well I am trying out Strava and have managed to remember to record the last three runs. It was shower with sunshine and at times I could not stop myself from smiling as I jogged sedately around the park.

Nicely done - the recording helps you to see just how you’re progressing, but don’t get too caught up in it - sometimes we all have a ‘crap’ run and it can be demotivating to see that on your stats.

But you’re on the home strait now and that’s a fab thing. Well done you
