Advice from the IC please...

Can I have some advice please as I pulled my calf muscle on the inside of my left leg on my last run which was Tuesday last week. Since then I haven’t run, I’ve been doing daily exercises as shared by Oldfloss (thank you 😊) for the first few days I was icing and elevating my leg. I’ve also been doing daily core exercises as I know I need to strengthen this area to support my running.

Do I have to wait until the pain has completely gone before attempting to run again? I’ve just got a very slight dull ache which isn’t all the time but more noticeable when sat resting.

I’m desperate to get back out there but don’t want to cause more damage and be out even longer 😩

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

My advice would be to try walking first and maybe a gentle jog to see how it goes.

Ultimately, if you’re worried, seek medical advice!

Thanks Rammy75 it’s been fine walking so I think I’ll try a gentle run and see how it goes. I was going to leave it another couple of days and then hopefully it will be pain free 🤞
