Back to 20 mins but it done me good!

I was on week 8 some months ago but due to family deaths and weather I have only run 4 times this year up to half and hour but it was knackering me so I went back today after a couple of weeks to 20 minutes. I was slow but felt quite good and will repeat twice this week and maybe up it next week depending how I am doing. I think knowing how to run and having strategies for stopping twinges, aches and general pain really helps. Occasionally look in on the forum even when not running so that I can keep motivated and know that I will always get back to it. I want to be more consistent now the weather is improving in general. I need to lose some weight and get moving and long-term it helps the arthritic joints even if there is an occasional backlash. So feel I am coming at it from a different place now. It's like going back to see an old friend rather than being forced to face the enemy! xx

Good luck with getting back into the running rhythm. I like your comment about an old friend rather than the enemy - I shall have to try and think of it like that! Happy running!
