Pace and Timings

Just to clarify "pace" and running 5K in 30 mins, I presume this should not include the 10 minutes "brisk walking" that Jo Whiley keeps telling me to do?

The running time of 30 mins at 10Km/h is what I am aiming for (I think).

The app is actually designed to get you running for 30 mins not necessarily 5k. So some people finish the program without reaching 5k. It’s just a better more catchy name. Having said that, no the 10 mins wouldn’t be included. So 10km/h would be the correct pace. The main thing is to try and complete it without injury and it may help to do it slowly. You can always build up afterwards. Whatever you do enjoy it, and good luck with the running. 😃

Forget all about pace distance blah blah blah.

Just do what Jo tells you, she’ll tell you all you need to know

Have fun out there, and go slowly!

The pace you are aiming at is individual to you and is known as an easy conversational pace, ie. you can talk clearly without gasping, which probably will not be as fast as 10k/hr.

This is all covered in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

All the above. The whole point of this program is to get you running for 30 minutes non stop. Run at a comfortable pace. I found the pace of my actual running segments got slower as the weeks went on. I now do nearly all my running slower than my Week 9 pace.
