Upping the pace

Working on my speed now, and upping the pace. I have hit the point of running 8 mins straight (this program is 1 week shorter than the one with Laura). Definitely getting harder, but keeping that pace steady!!!

I don’t have as much to write about these days, but am still here! :)

It's amazing how much further we can push ourselves and still get through it. There's usually more in reserve than we think 👍😁

Just take this progression gently. This is after all for enjoyment and not endurance:) If you are having fun that is fine:)

We do set ourselves challenges, but need to be sure that the challenge is not one where we are pushing ourselves too hard. It sounds like you have the right idea:)

Have you had a peek at the C25K+ podcasts too...many of the Graduates use and still use them. Challenging and great fun. Speed, is one of my favourites, (shhhh)...as is Stamina, both useful for moving us onwards distance and pace wise...but not for the faint hearted:)

Very well done you :)

Are you still running at a conversational pace? There is no need to go faster. Don't make the newbie runner mistake of trying to run hard on every run.......that will not maximise your development.

Take care, too much pace increases your injury risk.
