So after my first run of week 8 a week ago we’ve had snow which stopped me running, and now got the flu bug and feeling awful, what should I do when feeling better carry on or go back a week ? As not sure I can do 28 mins straight!
Any advice: So after my first run of week 8 a... - Couch to 5K

You won't have lost fitness in a couple of weeks, so no real reason to go back a week. Much of c25k is about training your mind and your self belief that you can run for 30 mins. If you recently did 28 you shouldn't have any physical issue doing it again once you are over the flu.
If you’re overcoming flu then you will have been very poorly indeed. I’d recommend just going out for the usual 5 minutes warm up walk and then trying an interval run for as long as you can, but taking it nice and slowly and steadily. And see what number it comes to in minutes when you feel yourself tiring. That will give you a benchmark as to where to do the restart. You’re so close to graduation a couple of test runs won’t hurt at all, they put kms and stamina in your running bank of experience, and it’s better to pace yourself and not try and overdo it after illness.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks will take your advice, been under the weather since Sunday don’t think I’ll be up and about for a bit yet, but when I am will get back out and see how it goes, like you say close to graduation now 😊

Just see what you can do. Nobody knows better than you.
Not completing a run is not a failure, just an indicator of the level you have reached.
Be brave. You won't know til you try.
