Slow and steady

Week 7 run 2 in the bag. Really struggled on week 1 so was worried this was the new norm now i'm running without stopping, but slowing down did the trick. Still struggling with pacing myself (all routes from my house are downhill for the first km or so) so I used a tracker to make sure i was always slower than W6R3 as that had gone well. I know folks are split on whether fitness trackers are a good idea but it definitely helped today.

Still can't believe i've now done 3 x 25 min runs in a row. It is amazing how the program gets you to this point. Trusting in the plan (and replacing the 15 year old trainers that were making my shins ache) is definitely working so far.

Yup, slow and steady is the mantra but it gets us safely to the next session 💪👍🙂

Good luck with the next one 😃

Thank you. Definitely the way. Don’t worry about the speed just complete the time.

Brilliant - actually at this stage I started looking at my pace for precisely the same reason to make sure I wasn’t setting off too fast. Conscious slow running made the difference for me too. Well done you
