Sunday I got out there for a post New Year busy time run at last. It was good but muddy. Hampered at the beginning by tightness at top of foot/bottom of leg but it eased off and I vowed to stretch it some more when back indoors. Felt quite ploddy but glad to be out and keeping going after getting off the Christmas couch! Surprised at the finish of 5k that I was running at same pace and time as usual. I’m feeling energised and can’t wait to see where I’ll be running during the year ahead and want to crack the 30min 5k barrier eventually. Happy running everyone.

Well done.
A break from running of about a week, every few months, invariably leaves a runner refreshed and revitalised.
Enjoy your new running year.
Well done, I think there were a few of us on the Christmas Couch, but have managed to wave it goodbye to get out and run. I’m also gradually waving good bye to the excess calories I hoovered up while on the Christmas Couch and the additional pounds I’ve accumulated. 😂😂
Well done you, from a fellow Christmas coucher. Good luck with the sub 30minutes challenge too
